You don’t scold a daffodil for not blooming on command. It will open when it's ready: this you understand-- and yet you scold a child for not jumping to obey, instead of adding light and time to help them bloom their way.
A great springtime poem! You know, the other thing about daffodils, at least where we live, is that after they bloom they almost always get knocked down by rain or snow. They droop a little but then they pop back up again!
