Ooh la la! 🥖😅 What a cool idea--did you find that the translation brought out anything different in the poem?

Thanks for asking, and actually, yes, it did! You may have noticed I changed the wording on the English poem between the notebook and the screen—that was all because I liked the meaning I had written in French much better, and I wanted the English to be closer to it. The French one worked best when I wrote it as “Look to the arrangement of my inside world”—I liked the meaning of that better than the English first attempt of “What I can arrange is my inside world”—so I changed the English to “Look to arrange my inside world.” I like that emphasis on the direction of my focus rather than on what power I may (or may not always!) have over my mind. Anyway, all that to say, the dual-language writing did in fact bring out more for me!
