I had no one when I escaped the poisoned prison of my youth. I was alone-- but so were you. Now I see you, online, on stage, telling your stories, airing your abuse, showing your rainbow colors, speaking your truth, and claiming your joy-- despite the protests of those who raised you. You look to me like heroes. You give me courage to raise my voice too. This new hero’s journey may still be a lonely one-- but now we are alone together.

A lovely poem. We're not just sharing art here, we're sharing courage.
