🪷 The Mirror of Empathy
continuing my empathy studies, for both self-relating and others-relating
Empathy holds a mirror up
to what is being felt,
not contradicting troubled claims
nor hastening to help,
but just reflecting back:
“It sounds like you are feeling x,
and I get it.” Empathy’s mirror
can relieve what it reflects.
