You don't have to bully yourself anymore. It's not your fault life is so hard. Being kind to yourself, as though to a friend, will serve you better by far.

What did you think about the part of *Self Compassion* where they went to Mongolia? That's honestly where the book lost me. But before that, especially the first few chapters, I thought it was informative and insightful.
I agree that the early parts of the book were best. I was interested in the Mongolia story because I’d already gone to read her Wikipedia and its branchings, so I’d read about the trip and movie and was quite curious to hear more. Pretty strange indeed…but interesting!
