🪷 No More Trying to Add Up

reflections inspired by the book No Bad Parts by Richard Schwartz

I always tried to measure up
and add up.
But now I’ve done the math:

I am more than the sum of my parts.
I’m more than a factor
in someone else’s equation.

I am a messy work in progress
with factions of fractions
I don’t have to solve.

I am here.
I am real.
That is enough.
