When my to-do list is longer
than my usable time,
and the pressure of what’s undone
swells in my mind:
deep breaths and compassion;
soothe Inner Child:
“It’s okay. This is hard,
but you’re doing just fine.”

I had a hard time writing this simple poem due to some overwhelm/reduced mental capacity lately…but that’s why I needed it.
