Having broken free of the most major dogma-leash in my life—my evangelical, fundamentalist Christian upbringing—and experiencing the brilliant freedom of being allowed to think for myself, I’m on a lifelong quest to unlearn all the smaller dogmas of cultural programming, cognitive biases, and childhood core beliefs. It occurred to me that I ought to post my behind-the-scenes notebook photos of my “Serenity Splash” poems here, too, because I somehow got into a rhythm of doing that with my corresponding social media posts (or, rather, “Stories,” now that I’ve learned what those are).
